It's much smaller and the picture/video quality is excellent. Instead, for a similar price (less than 100 dollars) you can get a Canon PowerShot A480 or Nikon Coolpix L20 that takes excellent pictures *and* video. However, the picture and video quality is worse than a cell phone (grainy, washed out). I bought this RCA Small Wonder for my 11-year-old daughter and she absolutely loves it (as do her friends), but for my 7-year-old son I bought the Canon PowerShot A480. This is a great camera for kids because it is so easy to hold and use. I love how everything is included (2GB memory card, lens cover, carrying case). It's not always stated upfront that these cameras have video capability (on the Canon, video is actually 1 of the 15 different shooting modes), but you can check out the manufacturer's website for a complete description.I wish I knew about these low-end compact cameras supporting video.
4 hrs. Also like the length of time i.e. I had an RCA little world but find this better. The delivery was very good. When I used it I found that it was very easy to use and also like the way of downloading of pictures. and that I can increase this time also.
The "camcorder" has since remained in this mode for the last couple of weeks.I changed the batteries and even downloaded and installed a so-called "firmware upgrade" from the company's site, all to no avail. And then, upon telephoning the customer service rep; (1) I was disconnected multiple times. never again. .and she knows NOTHING about the product whatsoever). It performed fine for a total of 6.5 minutes, whereupon the screen then went black for the next four days. The only solution offered was to mail in the product "for evaluation".RCA "Traveler" Small Wonder EZ210 Digital Camcorder with 4 Hour Recording and 2GB Included SD MemorySo, if you ask me, I recommend that you do not waste your money nor your time on this rinky-dink piece of manure.
So, I was intrigued by the RCA "Traveler" Small Wonder's supposedly's point-and-shoot-and-upload capabilities.Well, upon receiving this machine, I was quickly disappointed. On the 5th day, when I turned it on, in the morning, the entire screen then turned to exhibit blue and white sparkly vertical lines, with absolutely no indication that the lens, in fact, is able to focus on anything. (2) the same single customer rep on duty (.no wonder one has to wait a long time to speak to someone: there's only ONE service rep answering the phone. It's obviously been manufactured with built-in obsolescence by a sleazy company out to make a fast buck while dodging any type of professional support or responsibility for their merchandise.Never again, RCA. Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R39OHO8HDLNY5J When I first came across this item, it was because I was searching for a practical means of quickly capturing video for web upload that did not involve much computer processing or the constant purchase of film/miniDV cassettes and the like.
During this time, no recording whatsoever was possible. told me that there was nothing that she could do, as she had never heard of these "symptoms" occurring to the Small Wonder before.
HOWEVER, beware Amazon's offer to buy an SD mini-card with this camera. I didn't read the fine print and got stuck with a useless $20 mini-card.
Sturdy little devil, too -- it's already been dropped a couple of times to no ill effect. Sell it on eBay.
Now what. We're having good fun with it.
Love the camera -- compact, easy to use, takes great shots. It doesn't use a mini-card; it uses a regular SD card.
Still, the camera is great.
Returned it and feel this is not worth the money or the time. After talking to RCA, trying to upload new software-twice, sent the machine back because RCA claimed that it was defective, received yet another 'Traveler' (after 6 weeks of waiting) and guess what. I received this and immediately started to click and take video of everything in sight. It was so easy to use, but then when I tried to upload the photos my PC was giving me an error message. It had the same problem.
